Commonwealth Law Revision Commission
The official compiler and publisher of Commonwealth law. Established in 1983 and, in 1993, reorganized and transferred from the executive to the judicial branch of the CNMI government, the Commission operates pursuant to 1 CMC §§ 3801–3810.

The Commission
Members serve by virtue of their office (1 CMC § 3802). The Chief Justice presides as Chair.

Authority & duties
The Commission sits in the judicial branch with the authority and responsibility set out in 1 CMC §§ 3801 et seq.: to codify and revise the Commonwealth Code, publish the decisions of the CNMI judiciary in a reporter system, produce and revise the NMI Administrative Code, and publish the Commonwealth Digest.
Members serve without pay (1 CMC § 3804(d)); the Commission's budget is part of the Judiciary's (1 CMC §§ 3808–3809).
